The Results Are In! Community Survey, June-Sept 2025

Slide2.PNG

In June 2025, the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce launched a county-wide survey to ask our community: "What are the best uses for a community center in the Fox Middle School building?"

To give as many people as possible a chance to submit ideas, the Chamber created an online survey accessible by QR code. They also placed six ballot boxes in key locations around the County so anyone who preferred to fill out a paper survey could do so. Through social media, the Sentinel, and signs and posters all around town, the Chamber worked hard to let everyone know how and where to participate.

After 90 days, the survey closed in September 2025 - a total of 346 were submitted! The Chamber committee tabulated every single survey submitted, including every write-in comment and suggestion. And here is what the community told us:

Once the voice of the community was heard, to keep planning in motion, Jackson County applied for and received a Tennessee ThreeStar grant for architects to develop renderings of the Community Center and estimate design costs. Take a look at the first version of the Fox Community Center facility design, presented by EOA Architects at a public meeting held on March 12, 2026, and learn more about the great team of design professionals working with us.
